- That's precisely one of the key uses. While you run, ride, or swim with your GPS watch Bluetooth-paired to your phone, the eSIM data lets apps like Strava or Garmin Connect transmit in real time, your team see you, and you upload the podium photo instantly.
- Indirectly yes: the watch sends data to the phone over Bluetooth, and the phone uploads it via the eSIM. Apple Watch with its own eSIM works separately (it's usually tied to your local operator); the Nexotick eSIM replaces the iPhone's data plan during the trip.
- The plan starts when the eSIM connects for the first time to a local network at the destination, not when you scan the QR. If you install it from home and keep the line off until you land, it doesn't consume data.
- No. Your main chip keeps working for SMS and calls. The eSIM adds an additional line only for data. Your coach can still send you audios at your usual number.
- iPhone XS or higher (except those sold in mainland China), Samsung Galaxy S20 or higher, all Google Pixel from the 3 onwards, and most premium 2021+ Androids. The device must be unlocked from your local operator.
- Yes. If your event is multi-day (e.g. crossing of the Andes), the plan runs for the number of days you chose. If your race crosses borders (e.g. trail between two EU countries), we have regional plans covering multiple destinations in one package.
