Step-by-step guide
From idea to published event in less than a day
Your first event on Nexotick from scratch, with tickets, cashless, access, and results. No contracts, no fixed costs, no complicated setup.
Step 01
Create and publish your event
From the dashboard you create an event in minutes: name, date, location, type (physical or digital), and modalities.
- Configure modalities (5K, 10K, etc.) with their own GPX route and price.
- Define the registration window and spots per category.
- Upload banner, long description, and gallery for the public microsite.
- Activate Live Tracking if you want spectators to follow athletes live.
Step 02
Sell tickets and kits
Dynamic tickets with pre-sale, code discounts, extra products (shirts, caps), and maxTicketsPerUser.
- Stripe + PagueloFacil integrated — the athlete pays and receives their QR by email.
- Unlimited discount codes (percentage or fixed) with their own dates and stock.
- Extra event products: stock with holds to avoid oversell.
- Team registrations (relays, pairs) with email invite flow.
Step 03
Cashless 360° at the event
NFC wristbands linked to digital wallets: the athlete loads balance and buys at stands without cash, without lines.
- Wristbands linked to the athlete's QR — a single scan to validate identity.
- POS integrated in PDA: payments with NFC verification in under 2 seconds.
- Top-ups with cash or card (Tap to Pay) from the same device.
- Shift reports with automatic reconciliation: declared cash vs. expected.
Step 04
Live Tracking and live experience
Activate the event's live tab: map with athlete position, splits, and times in real time for spectators.
- Mobile app GPS + optional timing chips.
- Spectators see the public map without needing an account.
- Shareable: each athlete has an individual link so their family can follow.
Step 05
Validate access on event day
Your staff scans the athlete's QR from any phone. No extra hardware, no installation.
- Offline mode: if the network fails, scans sync when the connection returns.
- Multiple simultaneous access points without conflict.
- Per-event permissions: each staff member sees only what corresponds to them.
Step 06
Official results and ranking
Import results from your timing service (YourLaps, Webscorer) or upload by CSV. General and per-category ranking publish instantly.
- Sync with timing services: you paste the URL and times arrive on their own.
- Manual CSV upload with auto-mapping of columns.
- Shareable public ranking — athletes earn points toward the national ranking.
Operational tips
What top-selling organizers do
Upload the GPX route
Event pages with a visible route convert 2x better — the athlete trusts when they see where they'll run.
Activate pre-sale with discount
A pre-sale at 80% of the normal price generates early cash flow and athlete commitment so they don't drop out.
Communicate through the platform
Use the event's communications panel — automatic email reminders improve race-day attendance.
